NASHVILLE, Tenn. — MCA Nashville’s rising country artist Timothy Wayne is set to deliver a live performance on Friday, May 30 at 3:30 PM during the inaugural Music City Rodeo. Held at Bridgestone Plaza, this free outdoor concert will showcase Wayne’s signature blend of classic country soul and small-town roots.
“Playing the Music City Rodeo means a lot to me,” says Wayne. “It’s not just another show — it’s coming home. I grew up around rodeos and country music, and to be part of Nashville’s first PRCA-sanctioned event, surrounded by family and friends, is something I’ll never forget.”
A proud Tennessee native, Wayne is more than a rising star—he’s a devoted student of country music’s rich heritage. Influenced by legends like Merle Haggard, George Strait, and his uncle, Tim McGraw, Wayne’s music honors the genre’s roots with a modern edge.
His recent tracks—“That’d Be You,” “Louisiana Saturday Night” (a cover of Mel McDaniel’s 1981 hit), “God Made A Country Boy,” and “Guy With A Guitar,” have drawn praise for their lyrical honesty and timeless sound. American Songwriter highlighted his “respect for tradition and ability to bring it into the now.”
Wayne’s quick rise in the country music scene has also seen him achieve major milestones. He performed at the 2025 Rose Parade on the Explore Louisiana float, and toured as an opener for Tim McGraw on the “Standing Room Only Tour.” Wayne recently opened for Lee Brice, and headlined Baton Rouge’s Texas Club.
