Liz Rose, Patty Smyth & Billy Steinberg to Join Wilson December 12 & 13, 2017
Nashville, Tennessee – Actress, singer, producer and songwriter Rita Wilson will bring her acclaimed Liner Notes series to Nashville’s famed Bluebird Cafe for two shows December 12 and 13, 2017. She will be joined by hit songwriters Liz Rose (Girl Crush), Billy Steinberg (Like A Virgin) and rock and roller Patty Smyth (No Mistakes), with both shows beginning at 9:00pm.
“Songwriters tell stories about who we are and what we feel,” said Wilson. “Being able to bring my show ‘Liner Notes’ with these famed songwriters and their incredible hits to the famed Bluebird Cafe is an honor. Cannot wait to share these stories with you.”
Wilson began the Liner Notes series in 2015 at The Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, where she was presented the Distinction in Theater Award at the annual Backstage at the Geffen event in 2009. She recently hosted eight shows at The Geffen’s Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater and is currently nominated for a Broadway World Award for Best Female Cabaret, Large Venue for Liner Notes. For each performance, she was joined by special guests for an evening of songwriters performing and telling the stories behind their songs.
The Bluebird Cafe shows will be performed in-the-round, a format that originated in the important venue, providing an up-close and personal experience. Admission to these special shows is $25.00 per person. Pre-paid reservations for the show will be available on Friday, November 24 at 8:00am CST at www.bluebirdcafe.com. There is a $10.00 food/beverage minimum at each seat.
Wilson will also be a special guest on LeAnn Rimes’ Today Is Christmas Tour 2017, when it makes a stop at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium on December 10. More information about the tour and tickets can be found here.
The Bluebird Cafe is in the final week of an important campaign raising money to fund filming of the first ever documentary about the influential 90-seat club housed in a nondescript strip center outside Nashville.
