Canadian country artist Ryan Lindsay and New York folk artist Lizzie No have released a live off the floor rendition of Lindsay’s song, “You, Me And The Mountains.” The collaboration is a raw performance from Orange Lounge studios in Toronto, Ontario.
The song release includes a one-shot video of Ryan Lindsay and Lizzie No’s honest, stripped-back performance of the song. It features the sounds of No’s gentle harp alongside Lindsay’s soft acoustic playing and accompaniment by The Fretless’ Karrnnel Sawitsky on fiddle, and Eric Wright on cello.
The lyrics of the song tell a heartfelt story of someone dealing with cultural differences standing in the way of love. It paints a picture of a hideaway in the mountains where they could be free from that struggle. It’s a song about breaking down boundaries, and the choice of instrumentation is symbolic of the meaning: Stringed instruments (normally reserved for classical music) integrated into a country-style song.

Raised on the Alberta prairies, Ryan Lindsay brings his strong country roots into his contemporary country sound. Lindsay is a CCMA nominee, 3x Country Music Alberta award winner, and making strides in the Country Music scene.
A songwriter and storyteller, Lindsay has a sound that contains a clear nod towards classic country and roots music. Lindsay is a genuine outdoorsman, deeply influenced by his background as a backcountry guide. His lyrics often point to the Rocky Mountains, living in the Canadian North, and growing up in the Prairies.
His voice has a presence that is reminiscent of ’90s country, and his catalogue of songs include a diverse mix of instrumentation – from acoustic-driven bluegrassy ballads to up-tempo songs with gritty Telecaster and steel guitar.
