Canadian country artist Ryan Lindsay is beginning a new chapter of music by releasing two new songs packaged together as “Fall.” These songs are the first of four seasonally-themed releases that will be dropped throughout the next year and will culminate in a full album.
Raised on the Alberta prairies, Ryan Lindsay brings his strong country roots into his modern country sound. A troubadour of his generation, he has lived a wildly unusual life: Ryan has hiked solo across mountains in Greenland, canoed across the Arctic Tundra, guided backcountry trips throughout Canada, and now, he writes and tours as a country artist.
These new songs are reflections of his life experiences as he navigates the seasons, both literally as an avid outdoor adventurer and personally in his life as an artist.
“Fall” is a digital release inspired by old 45 records, featuring the A-side, “If Your Heart Ain’t In It,” and the B-side, “You, Me and the Mountains.” Representing a season of reflection and realization, the songs cut right to the heart of country music.
The nostalgia of 90s country sets the stage for “If Your Heart Ain’t In It” as Ryan strips away all notions of insincerity and gets down to the basics of real honest connection.
“You, Me and the Mountains” enters as the unassuming underdog on the B-side, but the raw emotional impact hits that much harder in this vulnerable story of love and longing.
Both songs are now available on all digital streaming platforms.
