McCreerians Support Music Education in Honor of Their Musical Hero
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – At this year’s Scotty McCreery Fan Club Party, a core group of fans surprised McCreery by donating $2,100 in his honor to the CMA Foundation to support music education. Tiffany Kerns, the Director of Community Outreach for the CMA Foundation was on hand to accept the donation.
“My fans are just awesome people,” said McCreery. “They always give me such love and support. Now they are giving the gift of music education to students in my name. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly. I know what receiving music education in school did for me, and I think everyone should have that same opportunity. I support the work the CMA Foundation is doing and I thank this amazing group of McCreerians for their gift.”
McCreery’s fan club party was just one of several events that the singer participated in during 2017 CMA Music Festival. He also performed to a packed crowd at the Chevrolet Riverfront Stage; sang on the Radio Disney Stage in Fan Fair X in front of the booth’s largest audience of the week; signed autographs in the CMA and World Market booths; entertained at the Grand Ole Opry; and played golf in the Darius & Friends Tournament supporting the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
