NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Neo-traditionalist, Shane Owens, known for his unwavering determination, has released a clever and laughable video for his new single “LIE.” Country Rebel hosted an exclusive debut of the video of the tongue-in-cheek song on their Facebook, garnering over 100,000 views within hours of posting. Capping the video is a surprise ending turning the tables on the main character — two can play at that game. “LIE,” released by Amerimonte Records and Reviver 1608, is impacting radio now and is available to download and stream on all digital platforms.
“I am so excited for the release of my video for the new single “LIE!” Thanks to everyone that worked so hard to make this happen and everyone for believing in this hilarious song that has been loved by all who have heard it since day one,” said Shane Owens. “Honestly this is an awful way to get a girl, but everyone can relate to the humorous and playful lyrics.”
“Shane Owens’ ‘Lie’ is so fun, I love it! It’s a fun view into what goes through a man’s head, with a good beat and a voice I could listen to over and over with that twang! Love it, and the video is a riot!” said Alexandria Hardy, GM, KYYK/Palestine, Texas.
Shane’s humorous, tongue-in-cheek aspect takes on the role of a “wingman” for a pal in the new single. It kicks off with a screamin’ guitar lick and pounding drums. A definite driver of a track with tons of groove and high energy, it sets the stage for a “night on the town” feel – and descends into a Saturday Night Live-worthy romp from there. Two guys, a pretty gal and a world of tone-deaf advice equal a blast of a record that pokes humor at the foolishness of men.
