Nashville, Tenn. –  Rising country singer/songwriter, Tori Rose, has released her self-written single “17,” today Monday, June 17, 2024, alongside an accompanying music video which premiered exclusively with Wide Open Country. Expressing the doubts, freedom and everything that comes in between, Tori recounts a pivotal year in her life in the coming of age inspired single. Tonight, she’ll take the stage at the Commodore Grille in Nashville for a celebratory release party with a special live performance of the song and others alongside complimentary food and drinks starting at 6:30pm. Listen to “17” now.

Making her debut with the introspective song, Tori sets a precedent for the kind of music she looks to share with her flourishing career. The emphasis on personalized lyrics and intricate storytelling is indicative of the Pennsylvania native’s upbringing on classic country from the likes of Dolly Parton and Hank Williams Jr. With a new team backing her including label support from Brown Lee Entertainment, Tori is looking toward the future with a catalog of unreleased songs and exciting live performances.

“When you’re 17, you’re at this in-between stage of almost being an adult but still being a teenager. There’s a huge mental battle at that age, or really at any age, especially because of social media,” Tori shared with Wide Open Country. “So, like any songwriter I just wrote exactly what I was feeling, but I even learned as I was writing the song that at 17 you just need to really live in the moment, appreciate everything happening (good and bad), and just be 17.”

Launching her career at the age of 12 after an impromptu performance at Pittsburgh’s Hard Rock Cafe, Tori quickly booked up a plethora of gigs around her hometown area including a performance of the National Anthem at PPG Paints Arena for ahead of the Monster Truck Jam tour. In the years since, Tori took to writing original music that has earned her slots at top festivals and writers rounds around the southeast including winning Ole Red Orlando’s Battle of the Bands contest in 2021. Now 19, Tori has already begun carving out a niche for herself with her strong songwriting ability, bold lyrics and crisp, twangy vocals. With new music on the horizon and a fierce tenacity and determination, Tori expertly balances young-hearted romanticism with sophistication to offer a relatable quality that country music fans can latch onto.
