NASHVILLE, TN – Country artist Stephanie Ryann is set to release her third single of 2023 titled, “In My Bones” on September 8th. In this up-tempo tune co-written by Ryann and fellow artist / songwriter Paige Davis, Ryann praises the wandering lifestyle – a theme consistent with Ryann’s free-spirit nature. Although the song’s character implies that she’s running from something as she sings “the highway’s calling out to me like an old familiar friend calling me home,” in reality the story is about running towards something…and that’s the freedom to run wild and chase the fire that’s inherently inside you.
“Like a tumbleweed in the western wind / Like a vagabond always wandering / Just looking for some place I can’t be found / The engine hums like an old six string / Kind of out of tune, but it makes me think / How nothing feels as good as getting out / It’s damn good feeling to run these roads / It’s in my blood, it’s in my bones”, she sings in the chorus.
If the lyrics weren’t enough to establish Ryann’s status as a modern-day country rocker, the tune’s Country meets Americana production is raw and edgy, standing out among the more pop-influenced songs in today’s country landscape.
