Special performance with Mariachi Internacional Nueva Galicia

Nashville, TN – Stephanie Urbina Jones and Mariachi Internacional Nueva Galicia performed with The Time Jumpers Monday night at their sold-out residency at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville,TN. They performed two songs, Charley Pride’s number-1 hit “Is Anybody Goin’ To San Antone” and Lynn Anderson’s 1970 iconic song “Rose Garden,” from Jones’ upcoming honky tonk classic country mariachi album, Tularosa.  The album releases this Friday, Sept. 28.

The  Monday night audience was delighted and surprised when Mariachi Internacional Nueva Galicia took the stage with Jones. Players and listeners alike were radiant with excitement as the six-piece band kicked off the performance.

The stage was packed with the mariachis, comprised of two violin players (in addition to The Time Jumpers’ three fiddlers), two trumpets, a traditional guitarrón mexicano and vihuela. Jones was joined on vocals and guitar by her producer, Patterson Barrett. All of this blended with Paul Franklin’s legendary steel guitar and Vince Gill’s accompaniment on rhythm and vocals, which made for an unforgettable performance that left the audience roaring.

It’s safe to say that the marriage of The Time Jumpers’ Grammy Award-winning western swing with Jones’ honky tonk classic country mariachi music was unlike anything else that stage had ever heard. It had to be seen to be believed.
