NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Following the exclusive streaming premiere of the title track with Taste of Country, Country Rock artist Stevie Monce releases his highly anticipated EP — Stay On Fire — today. The concept EP encompasses the ups and downs of a relationship from the initial meeting, then falling in love, followed by breaking up and the sorrowful reminiscing that follows. Monce teamed up with Rebekah Liles for the title track, sister of Co-Producer and Love and Theft member Stephen Barker Liles. Taste Of Country had this to say about the blazing duet:
“The song is a juxtaposition of contemporary country production elements and a gritty, soulful vocal performance from Monce, whose influences comprise classic rock and roll as well as southern roots music. Liles’ aching harmony adds an extra layer of yearning to a song that’s about a couple trying to find a way to keep the passion and excitement of their relationship alive in the face of their day-to-day challenges.” — Taste Of Country
The lead single, “Named This Town You,” premiered on Nashville Country Club on June 14. The somber track tells the story of breakups and the “getting over you” stage, constantly being reminded of love lost and the little things you took for granted along the way.
“Growing up we all go through breakups and think it’s the end of the world – that we will never find another person to make us feel that way again,” Monce said. “The truth is we do move on but this song is about that tough time between losing love and finding love again.”
Stay on Fire is available for purchase on iTunes and available for streaming on Apple Music and Spotify.
Monce will host an EP release party on July 27, 2018, at Stoney’s Rockin’ Country in Las Vegas, NV.
