“Writing “Crocodile Tears” was such a pivotal, empowering moment for me,” said TAELA. “It was my final goodbye to a relationship and the last song I’ll probably ever write about that person. I feel a major emotional release every time I sing it. I hope everyone listening can feel that too.”
“Crocodile Tears” was produced by David Mescon, known for his work with artists like Megan Moroney, Tigirlily Gold and Reyna Roberts. The accompanying video was shot in Ashland City and directed by Acacia Evans. This release follows her debut country single, “Rollin’,” which has been racking up impressive streaming numbers and capturing the attention of fans. Both tracks will be featured on her upcoming debut Country album, scheduled for release early next year.
Born in Missouri, the single mom took a leap of faith and relocated to Nashville to write songs in 2021 landing a publishing deal with Kobalt before signing a record deal with Capitol Records that led her to Los Angeles where she released two wildly successful albums. Her debut album life’s a bitch… but it gets better features her song “trophy” that debuted in the Top 10 across all genres on iTunes in March 2022 and “unforgivable” co-written by smash hit songwriter and artist JP Saxe.
