Tai Shan Releases Final Single From Forthcoming New Album, Wildflower Moon

Nashville-based artist Tai Shan has released her highly anticipated new single, “Road Back to Me,” a powerful anthem of self-discovery and resilience. The track, which premiered exclusively on B-Sides & Badlands earlier this week, is the latest offering from her upcoming album Wildflower Moon.

“Road Back to Me” showcases Tai Shan’s unique blend of soul, jazz, and Americana, creating a sound that is both intimate and expansive. The song, inspired by Tai’s solo cross-country journey from Nashville to Seattle, captures the essence of reconnecting with oneself amidst the vast landscapes of America. With its evocative lyrics and rich melodies, “Road Back to Me” resonates deeply with listeners, offering a narrative that is both personal and universal.

“I wrote ‘Road Back to Me’ during a time when I felt lost and needed to reconnect with who I am,” Tai Shan shares. “Driving alone across the country, I found a sense of peace and clarity that I hadn’t felt in years. This song is about that journey of rediscovery, and I hope it inspires others to find their own road back to themselves.”

The single, produced by Brandon Bee, who has worked with artists ranging from Justin Bieber to Americana staples like Beth Whitney, features contributions from some of Nashville’s top musicians. Danny Mitchell, Miranda Lambert’s music director, and Juan Solorzano, currently touring with Noah Kahan, lend their talents to the track, adding layers of depth and emotion to Tai’s soulful vocals.

B-Sides & Badlands praised the single, noting, “Tai Shan’s ‘Road Back to Me’ is a soulful reflection on the journey of self-discovery, delivered with heartfelt sincerity and a sense of liberation that will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt the pull of the open road.”

“Road Back to Me” will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, on August 16th. The single is the final glimpse into Wildflower Moon, Tai Shan’s forthcoming album that promises to explore themes of motherhood, identity, and the transformative power of travel.
