A Percentage Of Proceeds from the Sale Will Benefit Sweet Relief Musicians Fund
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After just six days, bidding is brisk as fans seek rare vintage stage clothing, career memorabilia, even classic cars on the EVERYTHING BUT THE HOUSE (EBTH.com) online sale — The Tanya Tucker Tribute: Celebrating An Icon in Country Music. The sale will close this Saturday, June 25, 7:00 p.m./CDT. Bidding is simple and is done by logging onto EBTH.com. All bids start at $1 with no reserve and worldwide delivery is available.
There are 488 items being offered in what is the first of four rare sales that will run throughout the summer. Among the 16 leather jackets being offered is the studded Michael Hoban version Tanya wore while performing on the Super Bowl 28 halftime show (1994). Some of the more recognizable vintage clothing items include the fringe bikini she wore during the photo shoot for “Strong Enough to Bend,” a denim jacket from her “Delta Dawn” ensemble, embellished by Tanya herself and worn on her first date; and a vintage purple spandex jumpsuit, worn on the cover of the Tanya Tucker Livealbum. There’s also plenty of couture from the likes of Bob Mackie, Hervè Leger, Lillie Rubin and Azzedine Alaïa.
And for those with a need for speed there’s a pink Screamin’ Eagle Harley-Davidson and a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible with low mileage.
A percentage of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that provides financial assistance to all types of career musicians and industry workers who are struggling to make ends meet while facing illness, disability or age-related problems.
