First CMA Music Fest
Dubbed One of the “25 Best Things We Saw at CMA Music Fest” by Rolling Stone Country
NASHVILLE, TN – Sharing stories and embracing new fans, TARA THOMPSON celebrated the release of her Someone To Take Your Place EP with several appearances at CMA Music Fest.
Tara kicked off her first round of performances on Tuesday night with a rowdy crowd at Losers Bar during Whiskey Jam powered by Big Machine Label Group, knocking out self-penned tunes from her debut project. The petite talent, all gussied up for the CMT Music Awards on Wednesday evening, earned a spot on multiple Best Dressed lists. Alongside fellow CMT Next Women of Country honorees Fridayafternoon, Tara participated in an acoustic round and Q&A at the Country Music Hall of Fame, where they proved females in the format are a force to be reckoned with and have something fierce to say. The songstress then headed across town to Nissan Stadium, singing background vocals for legend Hank Williams, Jr.
Saturday afternoon Tara headed to Chevrolet Cruze Park Stage, interacting with festival-goers and belting out pages from her musical diaries – “Vows” and “Side Effects” – in addition to previewing songs from her forthcoming full-length album. The performance garnered a Best Redneck Woman nod inRolling Stone Country’s CMA Music Fest recap. Capping off the weekend, she signed autographs and chronicled her memorable experience on social media. Fans and critics are continuing to embrace theSomeone To Take Your Place EP following the multiple encounters:
