Tenille Arts Wins Two Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards

Takes Home “Female Artist” and “Songwriter” On Virtual Show

#SomebodyLikeThat

Nashville, Tennessee – The 31st Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards were handed out virtually Saturday night, due to COVID-19 restrictions, and Tenille Arts was honored to have her name called for both Female Artist and Songwriter of the Year for the third year in a row. She shared the Songwriter award with Alex Kline and Allison Veltz for her “Somebody Like That” single, which cracked the Top 15 on the Canadian Country charts and the Top 50 on Mediabase and Top 20 on MusicRow. The two wins bring her total awards from the organization to nine over the last three years.

“This is really special to me, because songwriting is the heart of what we do as artists,” said Tenille from her Nashville home after being announced as the Songwriter of the Year winner. “For me, songwriting has always been the way I have shared my thoughts and my feelings; it’s like taking a look in my diary.”

After winning Female Artist toward the end of the show, Tenille raved about the talented females she was up against and honored she was to be in the same category with them.

“I hope next year we can all be together to celebrate the amazing music that is coming out of Saskatchewan,” she concluded.

Friday night, Tenille performed her hit “Call You Names” on the International Day of Families Feed The Children Benefit Special for COVID-19 Relief. The virtual concert included appearances by Toby Keith, Tony Bennett, Willie Geist, Kalie Shorr, Walker Hayes and others. The entire show can be viewed HERE. Massive Country music and lifestyle outlet Country Rebel, will post their third installment of “Tenille Tuesdays” with a special acoustic performance of her “Cold Feet” song on their popular Fireside Sessions on May 26, 2020.
