Nashville, TN – Today, Texas red dirt country singer-songwriter Wade Bowen released “Rain,” this first single off his forthcoming album to be released later this year. Written alongside longtime collaborators Sean McConnell and Drew Kennedy, “Rain” captures real-life moments from Bowen’s life that hit without warning and forever changed him. The single is available to stream and purchase at all digital retailers HERE.

“I wrote ‘Rain’ after coming out of a hard season in life,” shared Bowen. “I had vocal surgery and had to step away from my career for a while. Around that same time, we lost my nephew – he was part of our crew – to suicide. It felt like when it rained, it poured. Eventually, I felt like this needed to be written into a song to not only help myself heal, but others who may be feeling something similar.”

With powerful lyrics layered on top of a juxtaposed upbeat guitar riff, “Rain” is a raw, sentimental ballad that gives listeners an intimate glimpse into one of the more difficult chapters of the singer-songwriter’s life. The single opens with a yearning for a “siren call” and then transitions through the unexpected wreckage,  with a chorus that emotionally sings, “Man did it rain. Like heaven was cryin’ and it couldn’t stop.”

“Rain” showcases a different sound from Bowen’s signature honky-tonk sing-a-longs and sets the tone for his upcoming releases from the forthcoming project. Fans can watch the singer-songwriter bring the autobiographical, reflective single to life through a live performance video from The Lumberyard Canyon in Canyon, TX HERE.

Bowen continues to perform across the U.S., solidifying his dedication to connecting with fans through his live performances. There is no slowing down for the road warrior either, with a steady stream of festivals and tour dates lined up for 2026, including performances alongside fellow Texas singer-songwriter Koe Wetzel.
