NASHVILLE, Tenn. – River House Artists’ rising Texas Country artist Grant Gilbert releases the relatable, feel-good song “What’s Stopping Us,” available everywhere today. When feelings of excitement and spontaneity spark after meeting someone new, Gilbert sees where the night leads with no expectations singing, “we ain’t gotta go all in, fall in love / but what’s stopping us.” Produced by award-winner Jonathan Singleton and penned by Gilbert, Jordan Walker and Erik Dylan, “What’s Stopping Us” serves as the latest installment of new music this summer from the emerging Texas talent.

“’What’s Stopping Us’ is about getting to know someone new and hanging on for the ride,” shares Gilbert. “Whether it will turn into something special or nothing comes from it, you won’t know unless you try it, so why not give it a shot? I hope it’s one people can sing along to, and maybe even fall in love to.”
After releasing the post-heartache hit “She Goes Home” in May, Gilbert racked up north of 2M streams across platforms, prompting him to follow up with the anthemic “God & Everybody” in July. The small-town Santo, Texas native has been “making a name for himself in the Texas country scene” (Whiskey Riff) after getting his start in music playing around his college town of Lubbock. Catching the attention of Texas legend Josh Abbott, Gilbert has since embarked on a world-class songwriting retreat with some of Texas’ biggest hit makers, joining the likes of Riley Green, Parker McCollum, Whiskey Myers and more on tour.
Gilbert spent this summer touring across the South with Mike Ryan and mentor Abbott, with fall dates to be announced soon.
