Kicking Off Spring 2021 Live Music Shows
NASHVILLE, TN — CMA of Texas award winner, Bobby Marquez is honored to share the stage with the legendary Bellamy Brothers as live music kicks back up in Middle Tennessee this spring. Tickets are on sale now for the show at the Franklin County High School in Winchester, Tennessee set for April 10th at 7pm.”We’ve connected on social media, but this will be our first show together. I can’t wait. Their music is so distinctive and not a show goes by that I don’t get requests for their hits. I am a big fan,” shares Bobby Marquez.
The two country acts have a interesting connection. They both started their careers at a Rattlesnake Roundup. For Howard and David, it was in San Antonio, Florida while Bobby Marquez was just down the road from San Antonio, Texas in his hometown of Freer. Snake skin guitar straps and boots are still reminders under the spotlight of their humble beginnings.
Since the 1970s, The Bellamy Brothers have earned numerous platinum and gold singles, racking up hits like, “Redneck Girl,” “If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body (Would You Hold It Against Me),” “Old Hippie” and more. The duo also holds the record in both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and the Country Music Association Awards (CMA) for the most duo nominations. And their legacy lives on with a new generation of fans from touring with superstar Blake Shelton, as well as, their “Honky Tonk Ranch” reality show on The Cowboy Channel.
Bobby Marquez will open the show with his charismatic honky tonk style, showcasing hits recognized by the Academy of Western Artists and the CMA of Texas. Marquez has established himself touring globally over the past 20 plus years, not only as a performer, but as a songwriter with songs recorded by Johnny Rodriguez, Rhonda Vincent and more.
Just ahead of the April 10th concert, Bobby Marquez will make a guest appearance on RFD-TV’s popular program, Larry’s Country Diner on March 18, 2021. And Wednesday, March 31, 2021, Bobby Marquez will be at Cook’s Garage in Lubbock, Texas performing alongside superstars Dennis Quaid, Tanya Tucker and Johnny Rodriguez as he accepts the CMA of Texas Americana Song of the Year Award for his single, “Speak Love.” That’s all ahead of April and May dates in Branson, Missouri at the Grand Country Music Hall Theatre and the Branson Star Theatre.
