Music City Hit-Makers ‘Where Songs Meet Symphony’
NASHVILLE, TN – The BIG 98, Nashville’s No. 1 Station for New Country, announced last week the return of the fifth annual Songs & Stories for St. Jude, a live concert and auction to raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the leading health care provider and research center for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The BIG 98 on-air personalities Amy Paige, Tige and Daniel will host Songs & Stories for St. Jude on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at City Winery in downtown Nashville. Songwriters from the critically acclaimed show Music City Hit-Makers, Where Songs Meet Symphony, including Chris DeStefano, Brett James, Jessi Alexander, Hillary Lindsey, Rivers Rutherford and Marcus Hummon, will perform at the benefit event. Other special guests will be announced at a later date. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening and will feature items donated and signed by Country artists, as well as exclusive Country music experiences.
“The team at The BIG 98 has a long standing commitment to St. Jude and the Nashville community,” says The BIG 98 on-air personality Amy Paige. “Songs & Stories for St. Jude is an exchange of gifts. The songwriters share their gift of storytelling, the fans give back by showing genuine appreciation and families at St. Jude receive free treatment and the gift of hope – that one day all children will live in a world free of cancer.”
In its inaugural year, Songs & Stories for St. Jude raised over $8,000. For the past 28 years, The BIG 98 has raised over $9 million to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
