Ultimate Love Song “Love Language” Out Today

Duo Making History Tonight At CMA Fest Country Proud Showcase

“For a little escapism, turn your ears to The Kentucky Gentlemen. The twin brothers have the unmistakable chemistry of people who have grown up making music together – the famed ‘blood harmony.’ The Gentlemen revel in a delicious blend of R&B, country, and pop…” – The Boot

Today, country/soul duo The Kentucky Gentlemen announce the July 22 release of their debut EP The Kentucky Gentlemen: Vol. 1 and share their latest country bop, “Love Language.” The twin-brother duo of Brandon and Derek Campbell will make history this evening when they perform at the CMA Fest Country Proud showcase, the first official LGBTQ+ music activation at an American country music festival. Other CMA Fest appearances include a Saturday performance at ACME’s Spirit of Country Stage as well as The Black Opry showcase on Sunday at the CMA Closeup Stage.

“‘Love Language’ is the ultimate love song. It represents the promise you make to the one you love that you’re going to do all you can to love them properly,” the duo says. “There are so many different ways to communicate how you feel about someone. We wrote this song for romantics like us who love hard and aren’t afraid to dive deeper into what it takes to fall in love and stay in love. Our hope is that when people hear this they feel as if they just opened a love letter from their soulmate.”

The Boot featured “Love Language” this morning, calling it “a sensual, heartfelt ballad that’s both accessible and respective.”

Hailing from Versailles, KY, The Kentucky Gentlemen have sung together since childhood, delivering the kind of instinctual familial harmonies only siblings can share. The pair began making a name for themselves after moving to Nashville and capturing attention with their summer-ready 2021 single “Vibin’,” which was praised by CMT and later included in Ty Herndon’s Concert For Love and Acceptance. The Kentucky Gentlemen: Vol. 1 will feature several other recently released singles, including the Motown-soaked “Alcohol” and the sultry “Whatever You’re Up For,” which Wide Open Country called “an irresistible country jam” and Music Row hailed as “star-making stuff.”

Speaking about the new EP, the duo says: “There’s no better feeling than finally getting to share what we’ve been working on for so long. The Kentucky Gentlemen: Vol. 1 is just the beginning of many volumes to come in our musical journey. Since moving to Nashville as teenagers, we’ve experienced several chapters of our lives that have helped us grow. This chapter has been our favorite because we’ve truly leaned into what makes us unique. From breakup anthems to soulful country ballads to sultry summer jams, every song on this project embraces who we are.”

The Kentucky Gentlemen will hit the road this summer for several performances at PRIDE and with The Black Opry Revue. See a full list of dates below, and find more info here: thekygentlemen.com/shows
