ECLECTIC BAND BRINGS THEIR GENRE-DEFYING STYLE TO FANS
WITH ANNOUNCEMENT OF FALL TOUR DATES
“…The Mavericks record defies categorization entirely…”
– Entertainment Weekly
“It’s such wild musical journeys that make classifying the Mavericks a futile endeavor, even after eight albums.”
– Rolling Stone Country
Nashville, TN – Hailed as one of America’s most original and best live bands, The Mavericks will take their eclectic sound and genre-defying style on the road with the announcement of fall 2017 tour dates. Fresh off of a roaring, sold-out album release show at the legendary Ryman Auditorium and a historic trip to Havana, Cuba to tape an upcoming PBS special, The Mavericks continue their trek from East Coast to West Coast in support of their newly released and acclaimed album Brand New Day. With the power to transform any room into a raucous musical celebration, the Grammy-winning group will reach fans in major markets, including New York, Dallas, Minneapolis, San Diego, Los Angeles, with more dates to come (see full list below).
Brand New Day garnered unanimous praise from a wide range of press outlets including Entertainment Weekly, The Associated Press, Los Angeles Times, Billboard, Paste, American Songwriter, Blurt and many more. No Depression said, “…If it’s your first time, this one will make you a believer. For those who’ve been there since the beginning, this is the one you’ve been waiting for.” View more highlights, HERE.
Brand New Day represents a milestone for The Mavericks in a career full of them. The collection is the first independent full-length studio release on their label, Mono Mundo Recordings. The group chose to break away and become the sole overseers of their creative process, label and management and take full control of their long-standing career. Their story was the subject of a recent feature at Forbes.com.
The Mavericks are led by the incredible vocals of Raul Malo with Paul Deakin (drums), Jerry Dale McFadden (keyboards) and Eddie Perez (guitar). After nearly three decades at it, The Mavericks are having the most fun ever, with renewed energy and creativity. Much like their music, the possibilities have no boundaries.
