Nashville, TN – Following last week’s premiere of his highly-anticipated new music video “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina, Academy of Country Music and CMT Music Awards nominated Kane Brown debuted #1 on VEVO’s Country Top 10 Video Playlist (and holds this position for a second week) and jumped from #36 to #11 on Billboard’s Digital Country Songs Chart after a 95% increase in downloads. Brown’s #1 self-titled album, country’s best-selling new-artist debut of the past 2 ½ years and 2016’s 4th best all-genre new artist debut, moved from #23 to #12 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart after a 46% increase in total consumption. Additionally, “What Ifs” streams increased by over 500,000 this week bringing the total to over 20 million.

Entering Top 40 at country radio this week, “What Ifs” features Lauren Alaina, Kane’s good friend and middle-school classmate turned duet partner. His current single was produced by 9-time ACM Award-winning producer/musician Dann Huff and co-written by Brown, Matthew McGinn, and Jordan Schmidt. “What Ifs” is one of 11 songs, 7 of which he co-wrote, on the Kane Brown debut RCA Nashville/Zone 4 album which fans can purchase here.
Nominated for the 2017 CMT Music Awards on June 7, Kane Brown is up for “Breakthrough Video of the Year” for the clip of his Gold-certified “Used to Love You Sober.” Brown was also nominated for “New Male Vocalist of the Year” at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards in April.
