Supergroup Lends Talents To Upcoming Christmas Music By John Oates and Kacey Musgraves
NASHVILLE, TN –Beginning this past Monday (11/7), after nearly 15 years as one of the longest-standing gigs in Nashville, The Time Jumpers are shifting their start time from 9:00pm every Monday night, to 8:00 PM. The hugely popular show currently resides at 3rd & Lindsley one of Nashville’s hottest spots to listen to music. These shows routinely sell out in advance and boast some of the liveliest audiences in Music City. Locals and tourists flock to see the energetic show from one of the hottest Western Swing bands. Doors open at 5:00 PM.
The current edition of this four-time Grammy-nominated band includes 10 members, each a master of his instrument. They are Vince Gill (vocals, electric and acoustic guitars), “Ranger Doug” Green (vocals, acoustic rhythm guitar), Paul Franklin(steel guitar), Brad Albin (upright bass), Larry Franklin (vocals, fiddle), Andy Reiss (electric guitar), Kenny Sears(vocals, fiddle), Joe Spivey (vocals, fiddle) Jeff Taylor (accordion, piano) and Billy Thomas (vocals, drums).
On September 9, The Time Jumpers released their third album, Kid Sister, which is available on Rounder Records. The band has been on the road in support of this project.
The Time Jumpers are also an in-demand guest artist. Recently, they’ve been featured on the critically acclaimed Willie Nelson album, For The Good Times: A Tribute To Ray Price. This Christmas season, John Oates of Hall & Oates recruited them to perform on his new single, “Santa Be Good To Me.” Several of the Jumpers (Paul, Kenny, Joe and Larry) are also featured on Kacey Musgraves’ upcoming Christmas album, A Very Kacey Christmas.
