Nashville, TN – Nashville Native and Country singer/songwriter, Emily Daniels, releases her newest single, “Stained Glass“. Daniels continues to ride the excitement in her next single after receiving viral praise on TikTok with her former release “I’d Fall for That” by challenging audiences to get her song to 10K streams in one weekend. With 67K views, 11.9K likes and over 1,200 comments- she succeeded.
Beckoning Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”, Daniels plays out what she would do if she found her man cheating in “Stained Glass”. Co-written with Melissa Sheridan and produced by Zachary Manno (Haley Mae Campbell, Charly Reynolds, Leah Marie Mason).
Tidal has featured “Stained Glass” and Emily on the cover of their Rising: Country playlist.
Daniels: Thankfully, “Stained Glass” isn’t a story I’ve lived out myself as I’ve never been cheated on, but unfortunately, I know it’s other people’s story. I brought the title idea to my co-writer Melissa Sheridan, and she came up with the twist (“You tainted the past with that lipstick-stained glass”) that really brought a brand new meaning to the words. It gets a great reaction from crowds whenever I play it out because of the unexpected lyrical twist and the fun melody. I always like to introduce it by saying “I love Jesus, and I go to church, but this song is called ‘Stained Glass’ and it has nothing to do with that…”
Daniels’ previous releases have garnered over 72k streams on Spotify. She will continue releasing singles this year, culminating in an EP this Summer.
She frequently performs around town at infamous Nashville venues such as The Listening Room, City Winery, Belcourt Taps, The Original Tin Roof, Alley Taps, The Sutler and many more. She can even be seen on a billboard or two modeling for local boutiques and Blake Shelton’s own Ole Red clothing brand.
Daniels has studied with A-List Vocal Coach Renee Grant-Willams (Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill) and has performed at Tin Pan South, the world’s largest songwriters festival, at a featured Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) show. She has been recognized several times by NSAI as a “Writer to Watch” and awarded Honorable Mention in their highly competitive annual Song Contest presented by CMT. Additionally, she made her national radio debut on WSM AM Opry Radio on “Nashville Today” with Devon O’Day.
Daniels was an official performer at BMI’s Key West Songwriters Festival in May 2019, which featured over 150 songwriters including Brad Paisley, Scotty Emerick, and Liz Rose.
In the fall of 2020 she won the Country episode of Netflix’s original singing competition show, “Sing On!” hosted by actor/comedian Tituss Burgess, taking home the coveted jackpot of over $45,000.
Daniels continues to cultivate strong relationships with brands, utilizing her strongly engaged audience on Instagram with over 13k followers. Most notable partnerships include Cracker Barrel, The Mall at Green Hills, and Universal Music Group.
