NASHVILLE, TN – Multi-ACM nominee Thomas Rhett kicked off opening weekend of his first-ever headlining tour with “one of the best Country concerts of the year” (Peoria Journal Star). Critics applauded the grand-slam sold out inaugural 2017 HOME TEAM TOUR run, noting it “blows away” (Erie News Now) fans with more than 21,000 in attendance. The adrenaline-filled weekend (Saginaw, MI; Erie, PA; Peoria, IL) included surprise special guest performances by Danielle Bradbery, Joe Diffie and Thomas Rhett’s father Rhett Akins, as well as an electric encore including show openers, Kelsea Ballerini, Ryan Hurd and Russell Dickerson, for Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic.”

“Blown away…blessed…amazing…there are so many words I could use to describe the last couple days,” said Thomas Rhett. “The energy this weekend was off the charts, so I can already tell this tour is going to be all about making memories with the fans.”

With “his first headlining tour underway, the best is yet to come” (Go Erie) from Thomas Rhett, as fan-demand continues to heighten after the debut run, with more than a dozen sellouts ahead including back-to-back stops at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater in April.

As “2017 is already shaping up to be a banner year” (Entertainment Tonight) for Thomas Rhett, he recently earned his seventh career No. One with the fastest-rising single of his career “Star Of The Show,” from his sophomore album TANGLED UP DELUXE (The Valory Music Co.). “Always thinking outside the box and knocking it out of the park each time” (CMT), Thomas Rhett brings party anthems, dance tunes, drinking songs and love ballads with the 18-track TANGLED UP DELUXE (The Valory Music Co.) that also includes his 2X PLATINUM six-week chart-topping smash “Die A Happy Man,” which has garnered major trophies from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, Billboard Music Awards and the CMT Music Awards. After drawing capacity crowds overseas last year, he returns as a “force to be reckoned with” (Daily Star) with plans to return to Europe with one of Rolling Stone‘s most anticipated tours, while also making his debut headlining run in Canada in addition to US dates.
