NASHVILLE, TENN. — Grammy-nominated MULTI-PLATINUM Country duo THOMPSON SQUARE are primed and ready for the June 1 release of their new album, MASTERPIECE, and will celebrate the hotly-anticipated project with a series of can’t miss national media spots.
Starting on May 31– just one day before MASTERPIECE makes its bow – the husband-and-wife team will be featured on SiriusXM’s The Highway and VOLUME channels. That same evening Keifer and Shawna Thompson will deliver a heartfelt performance of new tunes at the Grand Ole Opry’s Opry City Stage in Times Square (7 p.m. ET), singing for fans in the Big Apple’s home of Country music and culture.
MASTERPIECE’s release day (6/1) will find them earning even more big-time attention, this time as guests on Fox & Friends’ All-American Summer Concert Series. Set for the 7 a.m. ET hour, the always-fun duo will chat about their new project, then return during the 8 a.m. ET block to perform several of the new songs. Later that day, they’ll stop by NASH FM 94.7 in New York City to share MASTERPIECE with “New York’s Country Station.”
June 1 will also feature the broadcast of Keifer and Shawna’s appearance on CMT Radio Live / CMT After Midnite From Seacrest Studios at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, where the devoted parents visited with and performed for young patients in Nashville’s celebrated children’s care facility.
Then on June 5, the duo heads to Los Angeles for some family-friendly fun with Radio Disney Country at 1:30 p.m. ET (10:30 a.m. PT), and will also chat with the hosts of Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family program (airing at 10 a.m. ET on June 5 and repeating the following day).
Out June 1, MASTERPIECE marks Thompson Square’s first full-length LP in more than five years and includes 11 brand-new tracks. Mixing carefree fun and deeply personal themes, the duo were looking for inspiration in their own fairytale romance – a love story that is still being written today – and sought to shed light on a transformative period in their personal lives.
Many of the songs were written or co-written by the duo as the musical sweethearts welcomed the birth of a son named Rigney Cooper in 2016. The album finds them continuing to perfect their acclaimed vocal blend, while also exploring new sounds like soulful R&B, laid-back reggae and thundering hard rock.
