Nashville, Tenn. – Country music entertainer Tim Atwood will host the world famous Ernest Tubb Midnite Jamboree on Saturday, June 20th. While maintaining social distancing and upholding CDC guidelines, there will not be a live audience present; however, viewers can watch the taping live at 2pm CT on Facebook. As always listeners can tune in and hear the Midnite Jamboree live on WSM 650 AM at midnight CT or on wsmonline.com.
“You can expect an all new show from me this Saturday. I am excited to announce that I will perform many of the songs from my upcoming CD ‘Who I Am’ this weekend. I think it’s my best music yet,” Atwood confides, “and what a thrill to debut my new music on the Midnite Jamboree. The Midnite Jamboree is a part of our heritage–our musical thread–that connects us to our past and propels us into the future. I want to thank David McCormick and his crew for keeping this tradition alive.”
Never one to sit still for long, Atwood has been in the recording studio wrapping up his fourth studio album “Who I Am,” slated for an October 2020 release. “Who I Am” showcases Atwood’s versatility as a writer and a performer as he takes his fans on a musical journey that includes his self penned, country shuffle “Migraine Heartache” as well as Delbert McClinton’s soulful anthem “Sending Me Angels.” Atwood has never been an artist who readily fits into any one box. Instead he relishes his love of playing outside the box.
“‘Who I Am’ represents who I am as an artist and as a person,” Atwood explains. “My new project is both playful and passionate. With the selection of each of the 14 songs on this album I was true to myself. Every song on ‘Who I Am’–even the sad songs–speak to my spirit.”
During his thirty eight years on the Grand Ole Opry, Tim performed alongside nearly four decades of country music hit makers including Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Marty Robbins, Jim Ed Brown, Jeannie Seely, Tammy Wynette, Dolly Parton, The Oak Ridge Boys, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Garth Brooks, Vince Gill, Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift.
