Nashville, Tenn. – 2018 has been a year of success so far for Country artist, Tim Elliott. Since the release of his most recent single, “I Got You,” the two-time North Carolina Artist of the Year has been receiving significant Country radio airplay. Just last week, Elliott hit a new milestone, breaking Top 40 on the MusicRow Chart.
Elliott looks back on the day he wrote the hit song, “When we sat down to write that day, we hoped to come up with a song that could connect with folks on an everyday basis. We thought something as simple as letting someone you love know ‘don’t worry I got you’ could make their day a little better. I never dreamed it would be my first Top 40. “
The single is the first ballad from Elliott, following his two up-tempo singles “Start Pourin’ Whiskey On It” and “What’s Not To Love,” both released in 2017. “I Got You” was written by Tim Elliott and Bill Diluigi and produced by Grammy Nominated Kent Wells.
“’I Got You’ was the first song I wrote when I got to Nashville. I knew we had something special when I heard the playback of the work tape. It’s been really cool to see the way this song has connected with fans and listeners,” says Elliott.
The blue-collar Country artist has built a solid touring foundation across the Southeast, playing more than 100 shows a year and reaching the impressive milestone of more than one million streams on Spotify. In 2017 alone, Elliott opened shows for Chris Young, Dustin Lynch, Frankie Ballard, Rodney Atkins, Tracy Lawrence, Kane Brown, Sammy Kershaw and others.
His music incorporates a diverse range of musical tastes and influences, including Hank Williams Sr., Frank Sinatra, and Sammy Davis.
Tim Elliott is the grandson of a West Virginia coal miner who also had a heart for music. The backbreaking, dirty work didn’t stifle Elliott’s grandfather’s pursuit of playing music and serves as the backdrop of Elliott’s story; Bluegrass jam sessions were a regular occurrence on Saturday nights. Elliott mastered the acoustic guitar at the age of eight and banjo, mandolin and keyboard followed. Over the last few months, Elliott has traveled the country on a radio tour in support of the single release. Most recently, the Boone, North Carolina-native has visited Iowa, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Tennessee, New York, and Connecticut. He plans to continue traveling and visiting new stations throughout 2018.
Elliott is one of the founding members of Matthew 25:35, Inc., a non-profit organization which raises money to assist people in the community with a specific emphasis on feeding the hungry. He is also a passionate advocate for Cohn’s disease awareness; a disease that affects over 200,000 people each year in the US.
