NASHVILLE, TENN. – Independent recording artist Tom O’Connor is set to release his latest single, “Nowhere Flowers,” on February 12th. The song combines elements of modern pop-country with a classic 90’s country vibe. The lyrics tell the story of a guy who made more frequent romantic gestures early on in his relationship. Then comes to the realization that he should send flowers to his partner just because he hadn’t in awhile.
“It’s a love song, but really it’s a reminder for those that get complacent in their forever relationship to let their partner know how they feel from time to time.” acknowledges O’Connor. “I think a lot of folks will relate to this tune.”
“Nowhere Flowers” was co-written with Casey Twist and the late Randall Clay . The track was recorded at Melody Mountain Ranch in Stephenville, TX and South Light Sound in Nashville, TN. In the song O’Connor professes,
I’m calling up the flower shop | Sending all the roses that they got | When she gets home they’ll be waiting and the only occasion | Is to tell her that I love her and she still turns me on | I’ve been thinking of her all day long | I know she already knows, but it ain’t hurt so far | Sending out of nowhere flowers and just because cards
The new single is O’Connor’s second released this year, and will be on his forthcoming full-length record, “Night Owl” dropping this spring.
