More Than 30 Partners Join On-Site Ocean Conservation Activation
Country music’s biggest beach party — happening April 7-9 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL — has launched its 2017 Tortuga Music Festival Mobile App featuring the full three-day schedule, festival map, a Tortuga-themed emoji keyboard, and a branded Tortuga Tunes stream of performing artists’ music.
Available as a free download for both iOS and Android users, the app allows fans to create custom schedules, navigate the festival site, browse food and beverage vendors, and receive direct notifications regarding important information and festival activities.
The Tortuga Mobile app will also educate fans about the festival cause and on-site Conservation Village and activities, including games, interactive touch tanks, cooking exhibitions, and the latest ocean technology.
With a mission to learn about ocean and marine life survival and understand how small actions make a difference, Rock the Ocean’s Conservation Village will feature more than 30 organizations, including the Guy Harvey Foundation, Sea Turtle Oversight Protection (S.T.O.P.), University of Miami, Bimini Biological Field Station Foundation, and Surfrider Foundation.
Conservation efforts led by Rock the Ocean and festival funding have helped plant more than 10,000 sea oats on the beach at the festival site, provide fuel for Bimini, and to tag the first shark in Asia.
