NASHVILLE, TENN. – MULTI-PLATINUM Country star Trace Adkins is set for a big week of major appearances as his upcoming 13th album approaches, starting with a nationally-televised performance.
On August 20, the perennial hitmaker will bring his booming vocals and larger-than-life personality to NBC’s TODAY. On hand to talk about his upcoming 25th anniversary album, THE WAY I WANNA GO, Adkins will also take the stage to perform a brand-new track from the upcoming project… and his high-profile looks won’t stop there.
Following the TODAY stopover, Adkins will also serve as a presenter at the 14th annual ACM Honors. There he’ll join a star-studded night that celebrates Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Rascal Flatts and more at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, all taking place on August 25 – just two days before THE WAY I WANNA GO is released.
Marking Adkins’ 13th studio album, THE WAY I WANNA GO features 25 tracks in total plus a top-shelf guest list featuring Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, Snoop Dogg, Stevie Wonder on harmonica and more.
The Grand Ole Opry member has already released the project’s fun-filled debut single, “Where The Country Girls At” (featuring Luke Bryan and Pitbull), and fans have turned it into an instant favorite. A party-starting standout in the rip-roaring vein of his 2X PLATINUM smash, “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” the track has already garnered over FOUR MILLION streams and counting, while total streams for all tracks released so far have topped 8.5 MILLION.
Meanwhile, Adkins has also returned to the road, and will continue performing this fall as part of Blake Shelton’s FRIENDS & HEROES 2021 tour. Appearing on select FRIENDS & HEROES dates starting August 18 in Omaha, Nebraska, he’ll also headline concert appearances of his own, with shows lined up through the end of the year and into 2022.
