Beathard Powers Up Blistering “One Upper”
In Performance Video Out Today
Nashville, TN – Warner Music Nashville’s Tucker Beathard leaves nothing unsaid with the final installment of his 20-plus song opus KING, available today here. An uncompromising singer/ prolific-songwriter/ co-producer and multi-instrumentalist Beathard’s latest collection is unapologetically him. It demonstrates why Beathard continues to garner critical acclaim and cement his status as an artist who “marches to his own drum and mines that perspective for his worldview” (Billboard). KING, a tribute to the middle name of Beathard’s late brother, Clay, is the second installment of the story Beathard began with NOBODY’S EVERYTHING.
Beathard will celebrate the release this week with live appearances on multiple platforms, including a special KING Storytellers Session Livestream on Wednesday, August 26 on American Songwriter’s Facebook as well as Beathard’s Facebook and Youtube at 7:00pm CT. The session will see Beathard joined by some of his songwriters on KING including Casey Beathard (Eric Church, Kenny Chesney), Marla Cannon Goodman (Kenny Chesney, Willie Nelson), Phil O’ Donnell (Blake Shelton, George Strait) and Ryan Tyndell as co-producer and co-writer (Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Worsham) in the round as they dive in to the unheard stories behind some of the songs, as well as perform them at Dark Horse Recording Studio in Franklin, TN. Beathard also took to Youtube last night (8/20) in the hours before KING became available in a special livestream fan Q+A and acoustic performance hosted by Madison Vain (Esquire, Youtube, Build Series), available to watch here.
Beathard also shared a studio performance video of his new track “One Upper,” taken from KING, and available to watch here.
Ahead of the release, Beathard continued to meet fan demand by releasing songs from the record in the lead up to the full LP’s release. Those offerings included “Find Me Here – Broke Down” heralded as “so impressive. Acoustic, raw, vulnerable and painfully real…This guy has the goods,” (Music Row), and “Better Than Me” spotlighted by HITS “as a writer, he’s willing to press a song for maximum meaning.” He also released “You Would Think,” in the process “whetting the appetite of fans waiting for the second chapter of his debut album” (American Songwriter), dropped his “newest heartache ballad,” (ABC News) “Can’t Stay Here,” and finally released fan-favorite track “Faithful” which sees Beathard “tapping in to some deep emotions” (CMT) on the album version and a recently-released collaboration version with fellow singer/songwriter Lindsay Ell. The crown on the head of Beathard’s album KING’s head is undoubtably though “I Ain’t Without You” an “empowering, soothing ballad that memorializes Clay [Beathard’s late brother] and emphasizes the family’s faith in God” with Beathard’s “distinctive country-meets-alt-rock voice” at the forefront (Rolling Stone).

The first country artist to release a debut double album, singer/songwriter Tucker Beathard’s first installment, “Nobody’s Everything,” was immediately praised as Beathard digs deep on the vulnerable collection that focuses on Beathard’s craft and shine a light on an artist that continues “generally blowing folks’ minds with his catalog of heartbreak-heavy tunes” (NOISEY/ VICE). Citing influences ranging from Blink 182, Kings Of Leon to Led Zeppelin and AC/DC, Beathard’s homegrown sound is turning heads. Following the independent release of “Nobody’s Everything,” Beathard signed a major recording deal with Warner Music Nashville. Beathard immediately garnered attention as “a country breakout,” (Entertainment Weekly) with his debut Top 5 breakout anthem “Rock On” and touring relentlessly including major festival including Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits Festival, Stagecoach and Faster Horses Festival, often playing upwards of 200 shows a year. Between touring, Beathard, a prolific songwriter, can be found in the studio, writing, recording, and playing his music.
