LOS ANGELES, CA – In a time where virtual concerts and couch livestreams are ubiquitous, TYLER RICH surprised loyal followers with a new track called “Feels Like Home.” The title may lend itself to the current atmosphere, but the buoyant melody and cheery lyrics were quickly becoming a fan-favorite at live shows pre-pandemic. “Exploring new cities, meeting strangers, and finding pubs or dive bars that make you feel like home inspired this song. It’s crazy how you can feel an innate sense of comfort in such unfamiliar places. Ironically, we all recorded our parts from home during quarantine, though it has nothing to do with the name of the song,” laughed Tyler. “I hope this song makes people feel nostalgic and reminds us all of our favorite people and places when we need the feel of community even more.”
Tyler penned the track alongside Andrew DeRoberts and Jon Nite that abounds free spirit with an enthusiastic chorus yet closes with the reassurance of Sometimes I wish that these doors couldn’t close / Cause it feels like home / So love who you love and smoke what you smoke/ Cause it feels like home. Frequent collaborator Lindsay Rimes served as producer on the unique recording process.
The Northern California charmer previously released back-to-back SiriusXM chart-toppers – GOLD-certified “The Difference” and “Leave Her Wild.” His charm and fresh sound have accumulated 197.8M+ global streams to date as Tyler readies new music on The Valory Music Co. following “Feels Like Home” next Friday (6/19) and “Rather Be Us,” a track written alongside Old Dominion’s Brad Tursi and Rimes. Tyler began his Rich Rescues initiative while out on the road earlier this year and continues raising awareness for pet adoption from home in Los Angeles. Visit TylerRich.com for updates.
