NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising country singer-songwriter Kendall Gary has released a new single, “Barefoot Country Mile.” The Country Note premiered an exclusive “first listen” of the track Friday, July 6. The single is available for download on Amazon Music and iTunes or streaming on Spotify.
“I knew I had to, and really wanted to, write a song about being from the South,” said Kendall. “I’m a native Texan and of course proud to be from such a great state. This fun, upbeat song sums that up. It has some southern clichés, but I think that’s what makes the song so catchy and enjoyable.”
Janeen Megloranzo from The Country Note said, “Gary’s vocals, reminiscent of vintage Taylor Swift, are showcased in the up-tempo single about the values she was taught while growing up in the south, such as being grateful, appreciating hard work, and lending a helping hand.”
This is the fourth single from Kendall’s upcoming album. Earlier this year, Kendall released three singles, “Head Held High,” “Your Love” and “Lie To Me,” all of which received exclusive premieres from Nashville Noise, Think Country, Country Music Tattle Tale, Music Update Central and Center Stage Magazine. Kendall’s new album will be released Fall of 2018.
