Watershed Festival has built a reputation for putting fan and artist experience at the forefront of priorities. With fans building their own communities over the years and dubbing themselves ‘Shedders, Sunday’s headliner Keith Urban took to Instagram to declare, “Hey WATERSHED ….NOW I get what they mean when they talk about the SHEDDERS!!!!!! INSAAAAAAANE FUN. I love you guys and can’t wait to be back next SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!!! – KU.” Known for creating unique experiences, a special and poignant moment for all during the three-day, two-stage music and camping festival came on Saturday when Merle Haggard’s sons Ben & Noel Haggard w/ The Strangers, took to the main stage to honor their father, who was slated to play the festival, following his recent passing. Continuing in the community vibe of the festival, other artists on the lineup took in the astounding views and enjoyed their fellow artists’ sets, while Saturday’s headliner, superstar Jason Aldean, even welcomed earlier act Tyler Farr up on stage, while Keith Urban called upon Brett Eldredge to collaborate during his set.
“Watershed has always been special to all of us, being the first in our family of festivals,” said Brian O’Connell, President of Live Nation Country Touring. “This year was particularly special as we decided to make the move to two weekends, thanks to our amazing ’Shedders, and also because I got the chance to show-off this magical setting to a few first-timers like Jason, Keith and Eric. Their feedback was amazing and I’m itching for us to get back out there next weekend.”
