Country Now Partnered with Rising Star Will Dempsey For
The Exclusive Premiere Of His New Single, “Mississippi Mud”

Set To Appear On Access Hollywood With Mario Lopez

NEW ORLEANS, LA   Hot on the heels of his viral debut single “Best Parts Of Me,” Will Dempsey has released a brand new “arena-ready” (Country Now) track, “Mississippi Mud,” inspired by his 2019 trip to Music City. The song is available now on all streaming platforms.

The self-penned track was produced by Matt McQueen and David Caplinger. “Mississippi Mud” finds Dempsey paying tribute to his hometown, a small town just outside of New Orleans in South Louisiana on the banks of the Mississippi River, while remembering to stay true to himself while he follows his dreams. The “anthemic track” (Music Mayhem Magazine) perfectly conveys the emotion and energy you would expect from someone who will stop at nothing to be successful.

“The song started as a little guitar riff that I wrote sitting in my hotel room in Nashville and I finished the song a few days later after I got back home,” Dempsey shared. “I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever written.”

“‘Mississippi Mud’ is about following your dreams, while staying true to who you are and where you come from,” the singer added. “I feel like so many people try to change themselves into something that they aren’t in order to fit in somewhere, or make it in a certain industry. And this song is about someone who isn’t willing to do that. It’s about being yourself and not apologizing for it. And while the song technically isn’t about me, I did use a lot of elements from my own life and upbringing on the banks of the Mississippi River in South Louisiana.”

Backed by a rock-infused, country instrumental, Dempsey reminds listeners that “he ain’t no cowboy” and he certainly doesn’t try to play the part, “he’s just a southern boy, who likes making noise and he sings straight from his heart.”

The song’s self-directed music video features the singer performing the rockin’ country tune along the banks of the Mississippi River in Louisiana.

Dempsey previously went viral when he and his son Weston were filmed playing guitar and singing along to Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy.” Dempsey’s wife, Tiffany, uploaded the video online and it quickly amassed millions of views. The video now boasts over 16.4 million views and counting.

In addition to finding viral success with his son, Dempsey recently went viral for a second time with a video of his daughter, Isabella, reacting to his debut single, “Best Parts Of Me.” The self-penned song is a touching tribute to Isabella and is resonating with parents everywhere as the video continues to rake in millions of videos each day. The video has also caught the attention of Oprah Magazine and Country Now as well as a number of high-profile celebrities, including actor Channing Tatum, Mario Lopez and UFC President Dana White.

This weekend, Dempsey is set to appear on Access Hollywood with Mario Lopez.
