Nashville, TN – After wrapping a busy week of media in support of his just released album, VINYL, rising star William Michael Morgan gave a special surprise performance as part of Southwest Airlines’ Live at 35® program. A full flight and its crew enjoyed renditions of his No. 1 smash “I Met a Girl” and title track “Vinyl” while in the air headed to Nashville. The lucky passengers walked away with copies of Morgan’s debut album, photos, autographs, and tickets to see him featured on the Opry’s “Opry Country Classics” show. The performance capped off the “Circle in the City” concert series presented by the Opry and Southwest Airlines®, where Morgan was a featured artist as a replica of the the Opry’s famed wood circle and signature microphone traveled to Bryant Park in New York City.
“I Met A Girl” is among the 11 stellar songs included on Morgan’s debut album Vinyl, deemed a “must hear” by Rolling Stone and produced by award-winning Scott Hendricks and Jimmy Ritchey. Vinyl also features his next single “Missing” (Rhett Akins, Marv Green) a wandering-man’s anthem about gettin’ up, gettin’ out and unplugging for a while.
The 23-year-old Vicksburg, MS singer-songwriter continues to hit the road throughout the fall and will kick off 2017 by joining country music stars Lee Brice and Justin Moore on the “American Made” Tour.
