Wynonna & The Big Noise announced their first appearance on Mountain Stage with Larry Groce at a SOLD OUT performance Sunday, September 18 in Charleston, WV. Fans who missed the opportunity to purchase tickets, as well as fans around the world, will be able to watch the show streamed live at (http://mountainstage.org) and (http://vuhaus.com) starting at 7pm EST.
One half of the legendary duo The Judds, the multi-Grammy Award winner Wynonna is fresh off the release of the self-titled debut album with her new band, Wynonna & The Big Noise. Produced by her husband and drummer, Cactus Moser, it is one of this year’s most compelling Americana albums and features guest appearances by Jason Isbell, Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks.
The live show will open with alt-folk singer and songwriter Lydia Loveless at 7pm EST, followed by an extended set by Wynonna & The Big Noise. The program’s second hour will open with Patty Larkin, who will be making her 9th appearance on “Mountain Stage” since 1988, followed by a trio performance by Indigo Girls.
Since 1983, Mountain Stage has been the home of live music on public radio. Mountain Stage is a two-hour radio program heard weekly on more than 175 NPR Stations across the country. It’s produced by West Virginia Public Broadcasting and distributed by NPR Music, and is also a popular podcast.
