Producer Jimmy Capps was quoted during production, “You’ve created a monster with this one.”

“Where Do You Go?” is the nightmare that a man/woman goes through when they suspect their significant other of infidelity. It is about a man and his wants, his insecurities, and his paranoia over the possibility of losing the person he loves. Listeners take-away from the song is the rationalization that what they are feeling is normal, although not always healthy. When under a certain self-inflicted torment, the mind goes berserk with some very real and very unreal possibilities of what the reality of the situation is.

“Where do you go, my sweet young thing when you slip around at night
I donʼt want to stop you now, I donʼt want to fuss and fight
Cesation is a thing in which I clutch with all my soul
I never thought Iʼd let a woman have this great a hold
Iʼve waited oh so long my dear and oh so patiently
Where do you go, my sweet young thing when you slip away from me
I wonder who youʼre running to when youʼre underneath the stars
The drifting of your trembling hands are causing all my scars
Temptation is a thing in which I long for deep and pure
Receive the love Iʼve given out could be the only cure
Iʼve waited oh song long my dear under that willow tree
Where do you go, my sweet young thing when you slip away from me
Where do you go, my sweet young thing Iʼve done lost all my mind
Please yield these words as warnings, men run from this womanʼs kind
Forgiveness is a thing in which Iʼm feeling all alone
She left me high and dry down here now in our broken home
Iʼve waited for so long and Iʼve paid every kind of fee
Where do you go, my sweet young thing when you slip away from me”

Zachariah was obsessed with the lonesome moan of Hank Williams. Picking up rhythm guitar at an adolescent age, he strived to be a hillbilly singer like many of his mentors. On many Fridays and Saturdays, you could find him singing in local bars before he was even of age to taste any whiskey.
