NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville-based award-winning country artist, Zoee, has released her shimmering new single and lyric video, “Castles in the Sand.” The song is available at major digital retailers at this link.
“Castles in the Sand” was co-written and co-produced by Zoee with GRAMMY ® and CMA nominated songwriter/producer, James House.
The singer-songwriter’s third single release this year, “Castles in the Sand” opens with a breezy guitar riff that sets the rootsy-modern-country tone as Zoee tells the story of coming to terms with how life is a lesson in learning to roll with the punches and take each day as it comes.
“I found an old notebook
I thought that I had lost
Where all the I’s had hearts and the T’s were crossed
As I turned the pages I laughed at my old plans
Didn’t know then I was dreaming about
Castles in the Sand”
“Castles in the Sand is a metaphor for life and how temporary everything is, how fleeting it is. All you really have, if you’re lucky, is love, family and friends… and right NOW,” Zoee states.
The shimmering track features Zoee on lead and backing vocals and acoustic guitars, James House on piano, synth, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and background vocals, Kenny Greenburg on electric guitars, Mike Brignardello on bass guitar and Roy Martin on drums. It was recorded at Motor Museum Studios, Liverpool, England, and Cabin in the Woods Studios, in Nashville. It was mastered by Justin Shturtz, at Sterling Sound, Nashville.
Zoee originally hails from Australia, and since her recent move, she has not wasted any time in growing her burgeoning career in Nashville, working with many of Music City’s finest tunesmiths, and releasing well-received new music.
