“Have a Holly Jolly Christmas.” “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.” Christmas songs are a high note of the Holidays. From the classics to modern day originals, whether they’re telling us about St. Nick or The Savior’s birth, one can’t help but break out into concert when they hear their favorite tune. But what version of the tune do you go with? Bing Crosby, Elvis, and Gene Autry always seem to be strong contenders. Then of course, there’s the famous stylings of Mariah Carey and Michael Buble! We asked some of your favorite artists what they turn that dial up to get into the Christmas mood!

My favorite holiday song is “you’re a mean one Mr. Grinch“. I have three favorite versions; The original because it is sung by an African-American opera singer, Jim Carrey’s version from the live action movie from the 2000s (also my favorite Christmas Movie next to Elf) and Darius Rucker has a fun one! My favorite Christmas album is a tie between Toby Keith’s several Christmas albums and the Christmas albums that the a cappella group, Pentatonix recorded.

I gotta say Shirley Temples version of “I’m Gettin Nuttin’ for Christmas”. I just love that song. My parents used to joke that I would just be getting coal because me and my sister would play so many pranks on our brother. We called ourselves “The Bully Buddies”. I think our career ended when my grandpa sat on the toilet covered in toothpaste meant for our brother.
My parents loved The Carpenters so I gotta say my favorite Christmas album would be their Christmas Collection album.
