Chris Young released his lead single off his upcoming 5th studio album this last week to rave reviews. The ballad showcases Young’s voice, which is as strong as ever.
The song, cowritten by Young, Corey Crowder and Josh Hoge, is a sound that Young is known for yet still stands out. With his strong vocals and the lyrics telling the story of a love that you can’t walk away from, no matter how much you should.
So I’m comin’ over, runnin’ every red light
To hell with the closure – save it for another time
Try not to think about you, but it ain’t workin’
Why put out a fire when it’s still burnin’
Just when I think movin’ on is getting closer
I’m comin’ over
Young’s voice has always showcased so much emotion and made listeners feel like they’re part of the story. “I’m Comin’ Over” takes that to the next level making you feel like he’s fighting for the passion with you.
Here at The Country Note we say we’ll be playing it again and again. What do you think, are you sharing our love for “I’m Comin’ Over?”
