Kip Moore has often been one to do his own thing; being the performer who doesn’t conform to one style or another. Based on his last album WILD WORLD, comprised of sounds from the soulful to the tender ballads, Moore has hit that stride and is running with it. With that said, his latest single “Fire On Wheels” continues that run.
In his teasing of the song and a snippet of corresponding video, Moore had hinted that this new single was more of a reflection of this new direction he intended to go. “Fire On Wheels,” co-written by Moore and The Cadillac Three frontman Jaren Johnston, is hot on many levels. It’s kick ass beat at the intro is sonically solid throughout, both instrumentally and vocally adding a gritty, albeit raucous nature that will get your soul moving. The video is on point with it showcasing Moore’s confidence, his uninhibited dance moves in an empty bowling alley for an audience of one, until the end.
The tune seems to depict touring from city to city, east to west, where entertainment is the name of the game.
Following the release of “Crazy One More Time (Revisited)” in January, “Fire On Wheels” is the second release from an unnamed fifth studio album, will also include a duet with Ashley McBride as part of the 13 tracks.
