In life you might find yourself in a position you may have never envisioned. You know what is best for you and your family, but that doesn’t make it any more obvious – the toxic relationship, unpredictable behavior, and jealousy are gradually spoiling who you are. You figure out the best outcome is to leave him, but your heart is left wishing that he could’ve been a better man. All the ‘what if’s’ are flowing through your mind, but deep down you know you made the precise choice. And this, in essence, is Little Big Town’s newest single, Better Man,” the first single from their upcoming album The Breaker.
And I know why we had to say goodbye
Like the back of my hand
And I just miss you, and I just wish you were a better man
A better man
Written by the famed singer-songwriter Taylor Swift, “Better Man” leads in with a graceful, soft introduction of instruments. Karen’s effortless vocals provide the serene and fortitude the lyrics crave, while Kimberly and Karen’s tones are utterly balanced during their duet segments. As “Better Man” builds up intensity, Little Big Town’s dynamic strength is an accomplished parallel to the single. And while some will speculate on whom Swift wrote the song about, we are absorbed with Little Big Town’s impeccable harmonies.
The Breaker is set to release on February 24th, and make sure to visit Little Big Town this year at the Ryman Auditorium during their 2017 residency and devour “Better Man” live. The single is available where all digital media is sold.
