Old Dominion’s “One Man Band” Isn’t Your Classic Love Song

RCA Nashville recording group Old Dominion has had some incredible success over the last few years and they’re showing no signs of that ceasing soon. These five guys lay it out with every song and album they create and their latest single “One Man Band” off of their upcoming third album is no exception.

This isn’t your classic love song. The reigning CMA “Vocal Group of the Year” has a way of crafting lyrics and words to change your whole outlook on the message that is being conveyed. The empty artist who finds the partner who can coexist with him and take on life’s adventures. From being on the road, to creating breathtaking music together, they know they are a fit. The one thing he knows for certain is that he doesn’t want to be a one man band anymore.

Baby, we can take our own show on the road
I’ll lay down the beat, you’ll carry the tune
We’ll get tattoos, and we’ll trash hotel rooms

“One Man Band” has a slow tempo that enables you to settle into the laid-back cadence. The whole single is smooth with the electric guitar leading the song, keeping it uncomplicated, and empowering Matthew Ramsey’s vocals to be highlighted throughout the whole song. “One Man Band” relates to the emptiness that can sometimes be found in all of us, when really were just looking for someone to complete our band. Old Dominion knows how to deliver songs that leave impressions on your soul to songs that have you dancing all night. From what we have heard so far, their third album will not disappoint.
