First, it was the seventh track on Easton Corbin’s sophomore album All Over the Road. Then it took a detour into the world of EDM as a remixed version by Lost Frequencies that became a huge hit in Europe, and now “Are You With Me” will finally be heard on country radio.
The fourth single from his third studio album About To Get Real, “Are You With Me,” written by Tommy Lee James, Terry McBride and Shane McAnally, is a beautiful ballad about that moment when you realize just how deep your feelings are for someone that you just want to be with them 24/7: do everything with them and go everywhere with them; even if you’ve already been there before, it doesn’t matter. It’s about living in the moment with them, and perhaps beyond, with no other care in the world except the two of you, and hoping they feel the same way:
I wanna fly so high that I’ll never come down
I wanna love so hard, it could rip my heart out
I wanna get so lost that I’ll never be found
Are you with me? Are you with me?
The acoustic instrumentation of guitars and drums allows Corbin to showcase his vocals, especially on the long notes, while he convincingly tells the story with strong desire and emotion.
“Are You With Me” hits country radio on May 23, and is available on all outlets.
